This RPG Maker VX game demo starts off with the main character on a map with an NPC. The mapping is really not that great. The grammar and spelling is not good either. The main character is called Ralph, he’s a paladin (and he learns Heal at level 4), however his sprite is a different RTP sprite. As a quick note, this guy goes to the effort of putting in a mouse cursor script (for some reason unbeknownst to me), and yet won’t even change the name of the main character.
“The villains don’t even know where Gramps has gone.”
After speaking with the NPC, I eat and then go to bed. A cut scene with some unknown people starts, I think they’re coming for me. Tile priority errors, eventing errors and mapping errors are present. Gramps has gone missing, I find a helmet in his place, so I’m to go to the store that sells the helmet. The mapping is so poor that I don’t really know where to go. Once I figure it out, he’s not in the store, so I’m now to go to the closest island. I get into a ship I apparently own, a monster attacks me, I win, however my ship is distroyde (whatever that means). I wash up on an island and some girl takes me to her home. There is a serious lack of proof reading here. I sleep, the girl goes off, so I have to find her.
I was poisoned in the forest, so I had to run back to town to cure myself. On the way, I walked into a tower by accident. The exit apparently caved in, I was taken into a battle straight away (you can’t run away from battles) where I was stunned and killed by three rats. As I had to start again (I’m not that great at saving), I tried to skip the part of the game where you quickly visit the village and it worked, so I’m back where I was. The girl tells me to get a magic orb from a wizard and then she’ll help me get a new boat. The monsters leading up to the wizard are more difficult to kill than the wizard. Oh, you can fight the boss more than once. Me and the girl then go into a dungeon to find gold, and now I’m not really sure what I’m supposed to do. This whole thing is a mess. For those of you that are wondering, Zero.
